Work that website!
Building a website is only the first step to online promotion, the second is to keep your website up to date. Ensure all your information, including seasonal specials and promotional offers are kept current - there is nothing more off putting for a client visiting your site to discover out of date information, wrong pricing and a 'couldn't care less' attitude. This is the first impression many new clients will have of your business - make it count!

Rebook to success!
Rebooking is the most important part of your business. It assures you that in 6 weeks time your appointment book should be at least 60% full. In my salon rebooking is a priority.
The staff have a weekly target of 60% rebooking as part of their goals. The receptionist is also paid commission for all rebookings over 60%.
Depending on the time of the year, we offer special incentives to the clients to make forward appointments.
To encourage clients to rebook in our slowest time of the year, we offer them a chance to win hair vouchers, petrol vouchers and give double points on their VIP club membership as additional incentives to rebook.

Stay on the pulse!
Maximise your business by utilising the reports function on shortcuts. Breaking down the different areas of business, this tool will highlight all the new clients you have had through the door, client retention figures, weekly discounts allocated and all hairdressing figures including retail and services. At HOB Salons, every branch prints this off on a weekly basis to ensure we remain on the pulse of our business.

Top Tips - Education is key!
Training your team is vital for the growth of your business. Keep them updated with the latest in the industry, it will give them confidence and keep them interested. Create a library of industry journals and education books they can borrow. In your team meetings get them to talk about new information they have researched and read about. An educated team creates a strong, powerful business.
